What is breathwork?

Breathwork is the intentional use of your breath to shift your physiological state. Unlike meditation, it produces measurable changes in your nervous system — reducing cortisol, activating the vagus nerve, improving oxygen delivery to the brain. Breathstate guides you through short sessions designed to produce that shift quickly and reliably.

How is this different from meditation apps?

Meditation apps are content libraries — guided audio designed to help you relax. Breathstate is a practice tool. Each session uses specific physiological mechanisms to produce a measurable shift in your state. You check your mood before and after, so you can see what changed. It is shorter, more active, and grounded in a different kind of science.

How long are the sessions?

Most sessions are three to five minutes. Some are as short as one minute. None require more than ten. They are designed to fit around your day — not to replace it.

Is Breathstate right for my workplace?
