OUR STORY

Born from the frontline

Pressure doesn't stay at the job site or the emergency scene. It follows everyone home.

Breathstate was built by people who understand pressure from the inside. Not as a concept — as a daily reality.

We created Breathstate because we knew the tool we needed didn't exist. So we built it.

OUR MISSION

Breath as a life skill.

We believe that the ability to regulate under pressure shouldn't be reserved for elite athletes or clinical settings. It belongs to everyone — the paramedic at the end of a long shift, the manager before a hard conversation, the person who just needs a minute to reset before they walk back in the door.

Breathstate exists to put that capability in everyone's hands. Practical, evidenced, and always within reach.

Our Team
Ross Pollard — Co-founder and Clinical Lead, Breathstate
Ross Pollard
Co-founder · Clinical Lead & Breathwork Methodology
Twenty years as an Intensive Care Paramedic — twelve of them as a Helicopter IC Flight Paramedic. Ross spent his career inside the kind of pressure most people never see, and watched firsthand what unmanaged stress does to the human body.

A qualified breathwork practitioner, he found it was the one tool that kept him steady when it mattered most — and that made a measurable difference to the patients in his care. Every Breathstate session is built on that clinical foundation.
John Archer — Co-founder, Breathstate
John Archer
Co-founder
Twenty years across strategy, technology, and executive leadership — working with businesses that needed someone who could see the whole picture, not just one part of it.

John has led the design and build of digital products and platforms across industries, and brings that same thinking to how Breathstate is built, positioned, and grown.
Rob Harwood — Co-founder, Breathstate
Rob Harwood
Co-founder
Thirty years at the front line of health — first as a Registered Dental Practitioner, then as founder and operator of one of Australia's largest dental groups.

What Rob observed across thousands of patient chairs was that the dentistry was rarely the hardest part. Patient anxiety was. The body and breath under pressure was. That insight is what brought him to Breathstate — and what shapes how he thinks about getting it into the hands of the people who need it.
